Only 64 days until Christmas!!!

Now that I have your attention, I'm soliciting ideas for an after Thanksgiving/before Christmas get-together.  All ideas are welcome - Mod-i and I have already looked at some dinner theatres - might be more $$ than some are willing to pay during the holidays.  Do we want to have dinner somewhere?  Although I hate when someone has to try to divide up the bill, and no one brings cash - that is so not fair to the poor number cruncher and the servers.  So I was thinking about finding a restaurant with a private room where maybe we could have a buffet (as wls friendly as possible, of course), that way, everyone just has to pay a per person charge. My ideal idea would be to have a pot-luck at my house, but I think there's only room for 4 of us!!  Seriously, our townhouse is pretty small.  And Happy is still pretty spastic, she'd be snatching everyone's plates.  Or coming out from behind the sofa stuck to a glue trap like she did the other day, or eating a Tide pen, like she did last week, or shredding receipts under my bed, or....well, you get the picture. The only day that doesn't work for me is Sunday, 12/16.  Other than that, I'm free (but not easy!). Tia

Tia Let me give this some thought, I might be able to think of a place.  But I am in for the next get together. Hugs Kristen Here is a thought http://www.olivegroverestaurant.com/

Thanks Kristen!  Looks good, we'll wait and see what other suggestions come in, too! Tia

I'm game (and hopefully available).  I love the idea of a buffet.  Also, I have heard that some restaurants will give you a choice of a few dishes at a set price.  Everyone chooses their meal ahead of time.  You know upfront how much you are spending. Maybe we could get a small room at a firehall or something to do it potluck. Just a few thoughts. Keep us posted. Thanks for starting this.  It's a great idea.

I will put some thought into it, as well. I like the idea of getting together where you can have a chance to talk to others, like the summer picnic was.

I hope we can all come up with something good.
