Ooooops .
Was doing some picking up/cleaning early this afternoon and reached for something and felt/heard this strange pop in the back on my left leg. To make a long story quite short .. I've torn a muscle in my leg (sort of behind my knee) .. can't remember the muscle name .. but I'm wrapped in an ACE bandage from thigh to ankle .. and have crutches (they gave me a cane at the ER at my request .. because we already had crutches . and I have been needing a cane at other times) ... this could not have happened at a more inopportune time for me .. Monday is going to be a very busy day for me at the office and I'm not going to be able to get around. Technically, I probaly should not even be going to work, but I need to be there.
I am not used to be immobile and this is difficult for me to keep my leg elevated and stay off it. And of course, I had made up my mind that I would get back to the gym on a regular basis this coming week ... the ER doc said to be careful on the treadmill with the crutches ...
Not really sure how long I'll be out of commission. I've got a referral from the ER to an orthopedist (???) so I guess I'll have to check in with him and see what is up and what to expect in the way of recovery time.
I keep thinking of crazy things like how am I going to carry my lunch to work when I'm struggling with the crutches .. ..of course the whole idea of how am I going to manuever in the kitchen to even MAKE my lunch to take it with me is a whole 'nother issue ...
Mr Mo's gone off to pick up my 'script ... and in a bit I'll take another Lortab and it won't matter til tomorrow anyway.
Hugs,

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!

Hopefully, it will heal relatively quickly .. and I'll do what the dr says and stay off it.
