Good Monday Morning !!!
Hope everyone's had a good beginning to 2008. This is the first 'full' week so it's time to buckle up and get down to business here.
I'm still hobbling around with the cane, but doing MUCH better. Out of screaming pain and just having serious twinges if I step wrong. Yesterday we went to the Annapolis Mall (I needed to have something done with my glasses at LensCrafters) and I ended up walking the entire mall. I was slow, and almost got tripped a few times, but I did it. Maybe not the smartest thing for me to have done, but I needed to get out.
Saturday I was out in the air for a couple of hours while we went to see a friend's new 'personal' firetruck. There's a group of middle-aged men who have some awesome toys ... they have a small (if you can call 5 small) collection of firetrucks. You know the old adage .. the difference between men and boys is the size of their toys. We hung out while they put the 100 ft ladders up on the two ladder trucks and hung a HUGE American flag between the ladders. Mr Mo took a bunch of pictures for them. I definitely needed a nap when we got home.
I can't wait to see the orthopedist on the 16th. Hopefully, I'll be all healed before then and he will tell me I can go back to the gym and resume life as I know it!!! Being gimpy is getting OLD quickly.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
