Hopeless Birthday
yea this little guy is me!!! Not very happy the marriage department either I think my clear sugar free mind is letting me see things I hid with food. So far for I have seen and Endocrinolgist, a Cardiologist, my PCP and I have become best friends LOL! I have had a Cardiac Ultrasound, a MRI Brain Scan, excessive blood work, an ACTH Stimulation test to rule out adrenal insufficiency. I have follow up appointments with a Neurologist, and the Endocrinologist later this month. There are several things they have to rule out, such as failure of the autonomic system, multiple system atrophy (either one of these would be the worst case senario) or just a thyroid problem or metabolic problem (best case senario) anyway, I am hoping and praying for the best. I am going back to work next week and that I think will help my mood. Oh, and another thing, I am scared of trying to new foods! Well, anyway, it is not like me to complain I just felt I needed to vent. I love all you guys and if it were not for this forum, I do not know what I would do. Take Care. Will keep you posted. Need your thoughts and prayers. Oh,by the way I am hoping to see some of you at the St. Agnes Support Group tomorrow night!!
Hang in there and even though I'm an oldie back new to the boards I'm around if you need to chat.
This is a great place to vent! I know I have at times done just that!!!!! Take care! Aw, honey, I am SO sorry you're going through all of this. I'm sorry we didn't know it was your birthday. I promise, food-wise, it will NOT always be like this. There are some great s/f cakes and products out there - just get through this year and next year will be totally different. As far as your health issues, I'll keep my fingers, toes and legs crossed that everything works out. I'm glad you're staying on top of things - that will be key to you feeling better.
Please call me if you need anything. And hang in there!!!!
If nothing else, celebrate the fact that you're taking steps to become the healthiest possible Terri you can be. Things WILL get better - these are just bumps in the road. And we're riding them with you!!
Hugs,
Tia
