Any Schweitzer patients? Food plan after RNY???

Thanks for the recommendation. I called to make the nut appointment and the gal said I may have to go to a class now to avoid a 90 minute nut consult but then she scheduled me for the 90 minute anyway and is checking to see if the class is mandatory, cause my book they gave me does mention the class and the 45 minute nut consult.

Anyway, I'll check about Margaret. I always love a referral. I got a referral for a good psych eval person, but I have to see about the cost--my insurance won't pay and the Hopkins gal was like $320! Ouch.

I'll see how these next couple weeks go with getting all my appointments in then hopefully insurance won't throw me a curve ball!

Did they refer you to Dr. Gewanter for your psych eval?  Thats who they sent me to and he was GREAT.  I too have had great experiences with Margaret....she's personable and definitely knows her stuff. 

Make sure to really stay on top of the office staff at Bayview......they left much to be desired when I was going through all of that.  I kept an ongoing log of when I called them, who I spoke to, and what they said they were going to do because I learned that there wasn't much follow through on their part. 

It all worked out and I got approved in about 6 weeks.  I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr. Lidor next Friday....so it WILL happen for you....just take it all in stride as part of the journey  =)  Good luck!
