Support Groups

Hello again,

I was wondering if there are any lap band support groups around. I live in Germantown and the only ones I saw on the site were in Baltimore. Are those the only ones in MD?

Hi Laura I dont know of any lap-band groups but check with your surgeon and maybe they can help you find one or just go to any support group. We all have had different surgery's but all feel the same about everything.

VSG on 03/21/08

I go to Dr. Greene's support groups even though he was not my surgeon. My surgeon is an hour away and Dr. Greene is m,ore convenient.

I had a VSG (Verticle Sleeve Gastrectomy) not a Band nor an RnY. Most of the people in Dr. Greene's group r bypass patients. However, having said that, being in a support group is very helpful and some of the issues r general issues of WLS and not particular types of surgery.

Talk to him since he is ur surgeon and see what he suggests.
