Baby coming Wednesday!!!

Everything is going well on the pregnancy front.  I've been super busy with all my appointments and holiday running around.  Saturday is our EARLY family Christmas dinner hosted by me this year.  If I can I'll try to get to the OH lunch on Sunday.  Baby Lacie is still doing great and is on target for her size/weight.  They've estimated her at 6 pounds 5 ounces right now. 

My sugars are still tight and I have not needed to increase my insulin (for gestational diabetes) at all (it's just a low bedtime dose) and should be able to come right off of it when I deliver.  My blood pressure is perfect and still have not had to increase my pre-pregnancy bp meds.  No protein or sugar in the urine either. 

My band is working over time with Lacie pressing up on my pouch...and even KICKING my pouch.  I get full pretty quickly which is nice and I'm not gaining any weight.  I've fluctuated 3-4 pounds the past 3 weeks and my total gain is still just 10 pounds!  I'm convinced that I've lost fat during this pregnancy because I'm ALL belly and I have no edema in my legs like I did with Kylie. 

Tuesday 12/09 I go in for my amniocentesis at 8:30 am and then a follow up NST (fetal non-stress test).  If Lacie's lungs are mature they will follow through with my c-section on Wednesday 12/10 at 1:30pm.  When everything is done and I'm settled and resting in a room we'll be sure to get details to everyone via phone/text/email/etc.  I'm hoping to be able to use my laptop in the hospital to pop in myself and post a newborn pic or two on Wednesday!  I'll be there four nights so I get to leave some time Sunday the day before my birthday!  Um, can you say delivery just in time for a DIRTY MARTINI?

Wow sis!  I can't believe that your little princess will be here in less than a week!  All the best to you for an uneventful birth story and I look forward to seeing/hearing the update.  I'll keep you and family in my prayers.

I know!  Which is why your posts always excite and scare the crap outta me! 
I'm thinking, "Aw, little Lacie is almost here", then, "Holy h*ll, that means that little Marcus is next!".  I'm feeling pretty great.  Trying not to freak out because the nursery isn't finished.  *UGH*  Husbands - gotta love them.   But I figure, we have the car seat/carrier and a bassinet, so we're manage until it is.  Can't wait to see pics of your little one!

I opened up my email (before running out to do day long errands) along with my breakfast of GUESS WHAT?  Ravioli!  And YOUR post was the first email I opened.  Kinda fitting huh? lol  Don't worry sweetie, you won't even NEED the nursery until he's about 3 months old so since you have the car seat and bassinet you are FINE.  Other than those you need diapers and something to nurse him and some clothes!  The nursery will get done.
