Unjury Strawberry Sorbet

As you all know, I'm still a pre-op but I have been dieting all the same and I wanted to try some protein drinks.  I went to the Unjury site and got some samples (pretty good for $1.75 each). I really like the vanilla and chocolate. However, the strawberry sorbet made me want to gag!!  Just a heads-up, and just my opinion. I'm sure someone out there likes this flavor.

Lisa,
I like the unjury shakes, but I agree, the Strawberry Sorbet is my least favorite.  The only good thing about it is when my family decides that they'd like to go out to eat, if I need protein, it's easy to just dump it in a bottle of water to drink....the other shakes (except chicken of course) only go with milk...and it's hard to find skim milk in a restaurant...so for the convenience, I can handle the taste...ugh!

You are a better woman that I,  Marniel.  I took one sip and couldn't get past that taste. I even put it in more water than you are supposed to, thinking it would dilute the taste. No dice.  I have no problem with the vanilla or chocolate. In fact, I think they are quite yummy. Although you really have to shake shake shake it to get the lumps out.

Yes, they do take a LOT of mixing...I use one of those electric want mixers...keep it plugged in and sitting on my counter...about 10 seconds of that is ALL it takes!  My hubby bought the mixer for me like 10 years ago and I never used it until now...and now I use it every day!!  Do you like coffee??  If so, take a vanilla unjury with 1 cup of skim milk and one tablespoon of instant coffee...yummie!!  It's even better if you use 2 cups of milk, 2 Tbspns of instant coffe, 1 vanill and 1 chocolate all together...I did that everyday for breakfast and NEVER got tired of it!!  YYUUMMYYY!!

I do like coffee, and that sounds yummy. I'll have to try that!

I thought it was really neat that Unjury sent me a whole packet of recipes.

Yea, and they're quick too!  They send recipes each time you order...and different ones as the seasons change!  They're a good company to deal with!

Pre-op I loved the Unjury products, BUT post-op OMGoodness to me they are the worst protein drink. I cant even get near the cup, the smell of the protein makes me just gag. I had purchased several samples and had to give them all away. Yuck just talking about it gives me the shivers.....

OMG Lisa, I hated it too.  Even the sales rep warned me that it was only good mixed in SF lemonade.  Well I still hated it.  gag!  That was as a preop.  I liked the other flavors then.  Now postop I hate them all.  I was able to stomach the chicken soup flavor mixed w/ cream of chicken soup right after surgery, as long as it was in a cup w/ lid so I didn't have to smell it.
