OT: Good news!!!!

Congratulations Aaron! This is a terrific accomplishment! I know what you mean about all of the papers. I felt the same way when I did this. But it all falls into place. Good luck on deciding on the colors. I have been in my place for 7 years and I still can't make up my mind on the colors! I can do it for anyone else but myself! Isn't that odd?

Anyway, since it is new constructions, make sure it is built into the contract for them to come back a year or so after construction completed to take care of nail pops and cracks. Some settling always occurs and it would be nice if they did it for you. I know it came in handy for me!

hey Deb!  it's being done by Dan ryan builders so they have a 1 year bumper to bumper warranty and then a 10 year warranty on the structure.  About 120 days after closing, they will give me a survey to fill out in which I write down all the nail pops and stuff and they can come fix it. Oh and get this, my HOA fees.....are $300 a YEAR!  LOL

thanks Candie!  yeah I'm just now realizing with how HUGE this purchase is.....but you know it's gonna save me at least $235 off each month in rent so I guess now is a good time and since I was pre-approved then I can go for it!

thanks Kristen!  It's a great location and the neighborhood is still mostly dirt LOL  there's some houses already there but I saw the plans for the rest of the development and it's going to be HUGE.  i guess it's good that I get in now when the house market cycle swings in the opposite direction and mine appreciates!

That is fantastic bro, It's a little scary at first but after everything gets going and you see how it progresses you will be proud that you picked everything for it and that it was you that practically built it. Congratulations buddy I am estatic for you.

Way To Go Aaron. Sorry you won't be in my immediate area, but I am happy for you. Being a homeowner is great. You desrve this too. I am orginally from Martinsburg, and Hedgesville is a nice area. You won't be that far away either. You need to really celebrate soon as you can. Just have a bog old bash and enjoy every minute in your new home. Send pictures on here too and let us know your colors you chose.

My paperwork will be sent in this week and I begin the waiting game. I hope they don't take too long to say I have been approved.

heheheheh....not in your immediate area?  LOL  I'm just 25 miles away :)  that's not too far!  Oh I plan to have a HUGE party at my place once it's built and I"m moved in.  It's a brand new community in Hedgesville called Stonebrook and it's all Dan Ryan homes.

Oh I have everything crossed for your approval!  Once you get that, it'll be NO TIME at all before you're joining us ont he loser's bench :)
