What do you use.......Shapewear survey

Ladies:
I'm doing a survey so please chime in. I am wondering what has worked best for you all as you lost weight and needed more support for any loose skin, if you had any.

Sidebar for the men: There are also man-girdles/Mirdles: Summit, Hanes Smooth Illusions, Kymaro, Solidea, Undergear.  I found these when I was doing my internet search to get a list of brands so I could get opinions from you-all about what works best.

Do you wear body shapewear for support underneath clothes?
Do you find that wearing shapewear helps reduce the sagging of skin as you lose weight?

I wonder if you would recommend any particular brand.  I have heard of Spanx, Assets, Lipo in a Box, Barely There, Bare Necessities,Cupid, Dr. Rey's,  and Slim Silhouette.

Do any of you use these and which do you recommend?  Or if you use another brand and recommend it, let me know.  This figure of mine would like to avoid sagging skin as much as possible.

Please share.  Thanks!

P.S.
As far as bras that support well and hold those babies up where they should be, I heard a lot of recommendations on the DS board for the Cacique Balconette bras from Lane Bryant, so I already have some, which I am about to shrink out of.  The ones I got were great support and shaping, but plain. Now they have some with lace overlay and colors and prints, so I know what I'm getting the girls for Christmas!  LOL

If you want to see this bra before and after, Frozen_Peach recenlty posted these pics in her profile and the difference is amazing:

Hi Jennifer
Dr. G had me get tighter under garments, It works I am telling you it works.  My skin is great.  I use Hanes and Vasserett.  What ever works for you.  They have done studies on WLS patients and see if is a difference in the skin if you wear tighter under garments.  You are more active and it will hold everything in and the tightening of the skin is much better.  Hope that helps.

Hi Kristen,
Wow, I'm glad to hear your Dr. said it would help.  I was wondering whether it would help just while wearing it, or even when not wearing it.  I hope I get results like you say.  Also I want one that has an opening to pee so I won't have to peel it off and on all day long.  TMI!  LOL

Honestly I just use Under Armour or similar Underwear and Undershirts. I wear the tightest size that is comfortable and it does OK by me. I use the mid leg style and tuck and smooth shirt into drawers and I like the result.

After the majority of the weight loss, I got a pair of  spanx lower body shapewear and a walmart "girdle" but while I like the tight smooth feeling it gives and irons out my saggy areas under clothes--- I simply get too bloated daily to use these things comfortably. Plus getting in and out of them frequently due to IBS-D is a nuisance for me.
I prefer the 18 hour cross your heart playtex bra- then at 48D and now at 36B- no underwire.  Best hold and lift support I have found.  I find the underwire bras do not hold the girls in at the top and one bend over to the floor and they are out and about...
I haven't tried any of the upper body garments (for arms etc).

I haven't gotten any yet, but I have been thinking about it.  I wish I knew the thing about it helping keep the skin from sagging as much.  I'm 29 but look like I have the body of an 80 year old.

I got some bras from Avenue.  They are just plain microfiber underwire.  Here are my "before and after" bra pics.

I don't know whether body shapewear helps the skin sag less.  i think it just does what a bra does, keeps things in place when you're wearing it.  And wow, your bra keeps the girls happy!
