Pre-op checklist?
Do you mean as far as your pre-op testing? I would imagine that Dr. Singh's office has a list of everything they need - including a timeline of what they want done when. Keep in mind that some of the pre-op tests have "expiration" dates, so follow their guidelines closely.
If you mean a pre-op checklist of things you may need to buy, have ready, etc., sure, we can help you with that.
Just let us know!!!

Well let's see.
1. loose fitting clothes for the trip home (you don't want a waist band rubbing your incisions
2. comfortable slippers to walk in. They give you those socks with the tread on them at the hospital but they totally dry out your feet. Mine actually cracked open from them.....but once I was able to get sneakers on, I was able to almost run around when I did my walking at the hospital LOL
3. chapstick.....you WILL be totally dried out when you get out of surgery. I was so happy they gave me a spnge to suck on when they wheeled me into my room because my mouth and my throat was so freakin dry.
4. If you have sleep apnea, your surgeon may require you to bring a CPAP if you have one.
5. a pillow for the ride home. Hug the pillow when they go over bumps. It'll make it not hurt so much.
6. Get your vitamins for when you come home. Adult chewable multi-vitamin (centrum silver or I use flintstones complete), Calcium CITRATE (I can never find chewable calcium citrate at the stores, I have to get it online and I found it at drugstore.com), B12 (I get the sublingual DOTS that I take two a week). They may have you take an iron supplement if your iron is low.
7. Protein powder and ready to drink protein shakes for when you come home. Personally, your tastes will change after surgery so I recommend getting the samplers from the various bariatric sites (http://www.bariatriceating.com and http://www.vitalady.com). At least with samples, they are cheap and you can see what works best for you after surgery.
I think that's it......I'm sure if I left something out, someone else will chime in :)

Hey Brandi!
Ditto to everything Aaron said. The only thing I added, which he wouldn't even think of, for obvious reasons, was shampoo!! LOL!!! The day after surgery, I stood at the sink and washed my hair!! LMAO!!
Stock up on the bottled water and get some Crystal Light or the equivalent - there are tons of flavors out there. The Walmart brand is the cheapest. Some broth, too and boxes of s/f Jello, some s/f popsicles - all of which will help you get your fluids in.
Like I said, Aaron's a seasoned pro now, so he's got you covered. But if you need anything else, give a yell!
