Hi All,
I already chose my surgeon but unfortunately my insurance will now not cover the faculty or surgeon.  Could anyone tell me about any experiences with Bayview?  I am looking to have a lap-band.
Thank you in advance.

 Hi Crystal,
I had surgery with Dr. Schweitzer at Bayview.  I had only wonderful experiences.  Pre-op and post-op care was fantstic.  My only issue is that they are a little behind with following up care.  They are never able to find my labs when I go in for check ups.  Other than that I have been completely pleased.

Good luck!

So far so good. My surgeon is Schweitzer too, as were two of my friends. I've heard only good things about the hospital, but will say I have heard not as great things of the office staff. I've had a good experience with them so far. Insurance stuff could have moved a little quicker with submission, but it was the holidays so I understand why she didn't move as quick. Dr. Schweitzer has a very good reputation as being an excellent surgeon but not much bedside manner. I say I'm not there to be entertained, just keep me alive. I found him to be fine bedside wise. I also met Dr. Magnuson at an info session and he seems awesome too.

Good luck. I don't think you'll be disappointed with Bayview.

Hi -
I started with JHB and switch due to Sinai Hosptial of Baltimore.  The surgeons at JH are great but I but felt I was treated like a number by the staff and never follow up with me no matter how many times I emailed or called.

I think you will have a good experience if this where you end up.

Good luck
Iman

I had no complaints with Bayview. I found thier medical staff to be very efficent.  If you use Dr. Schweitzer, good luck with his office staff. THEY SUCK! Of course that is just my opinion.

Good Luck!
