Just wanted to drop a quick note to thank you all for the ecouragement over the past two days. It is very appreciated. I've spent alot of time here reading your wisdom - and truly it has helped me get through all I've needed to get through! Thank you so much!
I'm leaving for the hospital in about 15 minutes! I've had a good laugh this morning over the idea about eating (who could eat when they are this nervous!!) - and, a good cry over nerves! I'm sure I'll be back here Wed afternoon - a little worse for the wear - but laughing again for working myself up so much.
Here's to my fresh start!

I'm sending you good vibes and positive thoughts for today! It'll be over in no time and you'll be up and walking again! The first couple weeks are going to be your hardest so make sure you walk walk walk and sip sip sip. priority after surgery is to get as much fluids in as possible....concentrate on the protein later on. You don't want to get dehydrated during this time and in time you'll be doing both like a champ!

PrincessMama wanted me (her husband :-) to let everyone know that she did fine with the surgery. There was a 2 hour delay in starting, so she did not get out until 3PM, and reached her room at 5:30PM. By the time I was kicked out (8:30PM) I could hear what she was saying, and she was working on her respiratory exercises.
Now that the youngest has woken up and is dressed, I'm headed back to the hospital.
