3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!

Good morning!!!  Still cold out there this a.m.!!!!  It's supposed to warm up later in the week and then get colder with rain - again.  I'll be happy/sad to see spring - happy because it's spring, but sad because I know the oppressive humidity of a Maryland summer!!!

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  That I forced myself to sit and type last night.  I wasn't going to, but managed to knock some transcription out.  More tonight....and Thursday....and the weekend.  SIGH.

2.  That I got to see Ren's smiling face at the exit of the DD this a.m.!!!  I already had my free coffee from Mickey D's, so I didn't pull in, but graciously allowed her out in front of me to the Beltway lane!!!!  LOL!!!!

3.  That the temps here in the office seem to have been normal for the past two days.  It won't last, so I'll enjoy it while I can.

4.  That I could put a smile on B's face simply by telling him I bought 10 cans of spaghetti & meatballs, which is his daily breakfast!!!  He's so low maintenance, it doesn't take much to make him happy!  LOL!!!

5.  Short work week - I am off on Friday!!  WOO-HOO!!!

Have a great day!

Morning Nessa!!!!!

Ugh, flea markets!!!  Wanna come pick my Mom up???  Actually, I'm taking her out for the day on Friday to some antique stores (I repeat - UGH!).  SO not my thing, but it IS hers and it's her bday celebration, so.....!  Have fun on Friday!!

Your things are wonderful!!!  They're mine, too, and are often things we tend to take for granted!!

Hope your day improves!!  Loved your note about people knowing you in TJ's - TOO funny!!!!

Hugs,

Hugs,
actually this is not like the ones around here at all.

this has been around since the 30s.  it's an Amish/Menonite Market (and in the summer the produce can't be beat)

I can get fresh meats and cheeses  (and OMG my hubby can have his last go-round with Scrapple) but mostly I am going up to get a new dinning room table that better suits our needs (daily heavy use and gaming on weekends)

btw if anyone needs a table and chairs mine will be up for grabs (free to a good home)

Okay, now that kind, I like!!!!  There's a small Amish market in Dundalk that I frequent, as well as a bigger one in ****eysville.

All of the Amish made furniture is gorgeous!!!

Tell me more about the set you're getting rid of!!

the set i am getting rid of is

antiquie white wood in a queen anne style   with a teak inlaid table top seats 6 without the leaves.  has two leaves so seats 10-12 when extended.  takes a 120 inch cloth when the leaves are in.

it' solid the set is over 30 years old it was my mothers.  I have table pads for it too.

the chairs need some work.  the armless chairs are fine except one cane back needs to be replaced.   the seats are a white/green flower print but very pretty.. large print not tiny... the armed chairs are missing most of the arms

i might also have a china hutch too.   but it does not match the table.

Thanks!!!  I think, even without the leaves, it's probably too big for my brother's needs.

There's always Craigslist or Freecycle.com.

Good Morning! I agree, it is just a bit too cold. It feels like a biting cold, and I just can't seem to appreciate it. Until now, I have been able to avoid my usual winter dry skin. But this caold snap has brought it back. My hands are so sore they hurt when I put the lotion on - sigh!

Today...

1 - Nothing has blown up yet. We are having a code implementation today (hence I have been up since 4:30AM and at work since 6AM). I am keeping my fingers crossed. So far things appear to be OK. We are actively double checking.  Sorry to talk work, but it is my life!

2 - That I got the baby in the King Cake! Yesterday, a co-worker brought in some King Cakes for Mardi Gras (which is today). While I was not eating any, people were going crazy try to find the baby that is baked inside. Finding it is supposed to bring good luck for a year. Well, I was looking at the cut edge at what I initially thought was a nut. When I prodded it a little, it turned out to be the baby! I find all of this so funny because people were stabbing this poor cake certain they would find the baby that way - LOL!

3 - Hot Chocolate Raspberry herbal tea w/SF caramel creamer - YUM!
