Back from last appointment with DVR.............

And I am a little sad. It was my last appointment with DVR and Sloan before paperwork is submitted but............ the forgot to send me for a consult with the cardiologist and pulminoloist??? I have had all the testing but MY INSURANCE requires a consult with both of these doctors. Once those consults are complete my paperwork will be submitted to insurance. So, I call both for appointments and looks like I will be busy on Tuesday. Its gonna be a long weekend of waiting again. LOL

I know you are disappointed. When I was going through all of the pre-surgery stuff, it always felt like obstacles were thrown in my way, that the time was crawling by. In hindsight afterwards, it really was not hat bad at all. To sort of quote from a movie, when you make a decision on how you want to spend the rest of your life, you want it to start right away.

Hang in there. Tuesday is not that far off. You will get there and the wait will all be worth it!

Thanks.
I was sooooo excited, and to hear that I have to do 2 my visits was devistating. But, I guess all good things are worth waiting for. And DVR said I will not see him again before surgery. So, as far as he is concerned its a go. Its just make the insurance company happy. I guess that is important, being that they will be the ones paying. LOL

I've been in your shoes.  It seems like you think you're there and then up pops something else.  I had one of my tests lost and had to repeat it the day BEFORE surgery in order to have the surgery.  I just knew they were going to have to postpone, but I got everything done as I promised myself I would and everything turned out in the end.  I think this weeds the people out that are determined to go through the surgery from those that just want to coast through.  So enjoy this time, knowing that you are doing everything possible to gain a better life.

Angie -

It WILL happen.  Just hang in there.  Better to find out now than later.

We'll be hearing about your approval and surgery date before you know it!!!

Hugs,

Tia

Thank you everyone for the support. Ever since the appointment my spirits have been way down. I have lost focus, and I hate it!!! I know its just a bump in the road, but it has made me extremely discouraged. We went over all the test monthes age, why do I have to meet with doctors who have profomed test on me? What is the difference if we sit down and discuss my choice?

in 5 days you will meet with two doctors who will support your choice.  and then you will be off and running.  I say GO FOR IT!  don't be sad.
