Trader Joe's
I went to a Trader Joe's today. I travel to Elkridge once a month for work and they gave me the directions to a Trader Joe's. I think it was in Columbia. I also went to a store called My Organic Market in Jessup. It was nice, but I wasn't expecting it today so I didn't make a list of things to buy! :(
I need a shopping list for next month!

Jenn -
I LOVE TJ'S!!!! I USUALLY buy:
TJ's brand of Greek yogurt - cheaper than the grocery stores
freeze-dried strawberries
fresh sliced mango (when it's in season)
frozen mango
frozen strawberries
frozen edamame (shelled soybeans)
nuts
cheeses
spicy black bean dip
Soy & flax seed tortilla chips
Oriental rice crackers
Soups (their frozen French onion is awesome)
Chicken Italian sausage
I hope this helps!! I'll add to the list as I think of more!!!

Trade Joe's and MOMs "my organic market" are so awesome! There's a store in Clarksville called Roots Market and they're similiar to MOMs. I finally found unsweetened shredded coconut in Roots last weekend so I was able to make almond butter balls... YUM YUM YUM.
I'd suggest you check out Trader Joe's selection of fresh frozen fish if you're looking to expand your lunch/dinner menu. They usually have some sort of fish (I've had salmon and tuna varieties) that's frozen in a marinade. Get a package of those and then you'll have a really easy meal. I thaw a package in the fridge in the morning before I go to work an when I come home, they're ready to be broiled or baked in the oven. Really quick cooking time and pretty healthy for you, too. If you're looking for easy fish, I highly reccommend it!

Thank youuuuuuuuu!! I know you're always nice enough to post such thoughtful posts! But figured you held out on me for that very reason
Amazing it's been a year - that flew quickly!
P.S. - I spoke at my surgeon's info seminar a few weeks ago and brought a little document showing my progress in pictures... when I first stood up to talk, people looked at me in disbelief that I used to be "one of them." It wasn't until the document was passed around that people were doing double-takes and I realized they were saying to themselves, "ohhhh she was one of US!" LOL
