3 THINGS FOR FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!!

Good morning!!  I am one tired Tia this a.m.!!!  B had an asthma attack late yesterday afternoon, so I took him to the hospital and once his parents arrived and they had started his treatments, I left to stay with K.  Poor B!!!  They had to do an IV and let me just say that I offered up MY arm - he about screamed the house down!!  I stood there with tears streaming down MY face (he couldn't see me).  I think his "mother" and the nurse made it worse by SLOW-LY detailing every step - JUST DO IT, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!  Anyway, he made it home last night by 9:30 or so, breathing much easier and eager to show off his battle scars!!!  First thing this a.m., he told Pop-Pop that this weekend, he gets a present from Tia and next weekend, one from Daddy!!!  LOL!!!  Little squirt!!!! I swear, every time something happens to either of them, a piece of my heart breaks off.

Today, I'm grateful for:

1.  The pediatric ER staff at Franklin Square - NOT to be confused with the REGULAR ER department!!!  It's light years away!!!  They were, for the most part, awesome!!!

2.  You guys!!  I got texts, emails and calls last night and first thing this a.m. about him.  Thank you for caring and being there for me and mine.

3.  Coffee - I KIN do it!!!  DD's new commercial!!!  And boy, do I need it this a.m.!!!

4.  It's Friday!!!!  In addition to the boatload of typing I have, I'm supposed to have a bday lunch with my high school bff tomorrow, and then our "mini" hs reunion on Sunday.  I cracked up when I got an email about the reunion - it's now gotten totally out of hand - they think it might be 200+ people at Pizza John's!!!!!  I'll believe it when I see it!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!!

Birthday Girl!!!!!

I know, I know, but I've been doing the 3 Things post for so long and it's such a part of who I am on the board, I wouldn't know how to relinqui****!!!!  I'm happy to rent the space, though!!!

Me, too!!!  I LOVE me some coffee!!!!

Both KB have asthma - K has essential grown out of hers, only every couple of years or so.  I think B's is going to be a lifelong problem.  We have good docs working on it, but when the weather changes and he's around the germs, well, you know how it is!!!

TELL that cute kid that you miss him and wish he called more!!!!  Hopefully, he'll realize it eventually himself and call you on his own!!!

Poor Harley!!  Yes, I said Poor Baby Harley!!!!

Have a wonderful, celebratory weekend!!!

Love ya,

Tia

Morning Bethany Beach Momma!!!

Have a blast with the girls!!!  I know you enjoy them!!

I'm going to stop on my way home at the Amish market and pick up my weekly rotisserie chicken for chicken salad, too.  It's a staple in my life.  Generally, I just do light mayo, onions, celery and seasoning, but sometimes, I'll add chopped nuts and dried craisins to change it up.  Cira's Gino makes an AWESOME chicken salad - I couldn't begin to tell you what is in it - I know they use the Adobo seasoning and Miracle Whip, but beyond that I don't know.  It is good stuff, though.

Cool beans on the carpeting!!  I promise not to drink TOO much wine!!!!  LOL!!!!

Love ya,

Tia

Tia - I am so glad that B is doing better this AM. My oldest nephew used to go through that when he was growing up. Those eyes with the crocodile tears in the ER used to get me every time. It is such a helpless feeling. I hope B will be fortunate enough to grow out of this as my nephew did.

Nessa - Oh shoes! That is one part about having a dog that i DO NOT miss! My feet are so hard to fit and my dog growing up seemed to prefer my shoes! They always seem to pick the ones that are the hardest to replace. Here's hoping he grows out of that!

Gail - I don't drink wine. So no worries from me - LOL!

Today...

1 - I am working from home since I have an appointment later this afternoon. It is just a nicer way to end this work week!

2 - I am looking forward to my PT appointment this afternoon. I hope to learn what I should be doing to strengthen my knees. Once I know, I can replicate it at home, at the gym or both.

3 - Pay day! Yeah! The last paycheck did not last very long and I am happy to have this one today!

As always, I am thankful for all of you. Have a wonderful weekend!

Morning Stay-at-Home Deb!!!!  I envy you, especially this a.m.!!!  But..........as soon as my boss gets in, I'm asking to leave at noon.

I'm not sure why, but ever since B was little, when he would get sick, he would "moan."  It's almost an unconscious thing - but it makes me INSANE.  Not mad insane, just helpless.  And B is smaller than your normal 9 year old - weighing in at 60 lbs. soaking wet!!  Poor little guy!!!  When I left last night, he was shoveling in fries and a burger, so I knew he was better.  His stuffed dog, Biscuit, went to the hospital, too!!!  LOL!!!  I'm hoping he DOES grow out of it.

I HOPE, HOPE, HOPE that PT gives you some relief.  When your knees hurt - EVERYTHING hurts!!!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Tia
