3 THINGS FOR HUMP DAY!!!
Today, I'm grateful for:
1. Holiday decorations - As I came up the front walk last night and saw the green lighted shamrock in the window, it occurred to me that not EVERYONE decorates for EVERY holiday like Mom does. And I mean every single holiday. She HAS passed that along to us, but I can't say for sure that I'll do it when it's my turn. Part of me thinks I'd like to carry on her tradition, but part of me thinks it would be a painful reminder. I don't know. But for now, it's nice that she does it. This weekend, the green stuff will come down and all of the Easter decorations will go up.
2. Corned beef and cabbage - YUM!! I actually was able to eat the corned beef - really shocked!! It was num-yummy, especially the cabbage!!!
3. Sandals - Okay, so it really ISN'T sandal weather, but my piggies were crying to be free this a.m.!!!
4. You!! You guys made me laugh yesterday with our pet peeves post. I love the interaction we have, and that's why I do a lot of these posts - not for the attention, but rather to make us think and interact and get to know each other. Thanks for humoring me and playing along with my sometimes silly posts!!!
Please send up some prayers for Heather M.'s Dad, Dave, or....Dad Dave and Mom Rose, as I call them. I got an email from him yesterday, he said, and this is a direct quote, "I feel like ****!" My heart breaks that they're going through this, so please say some prayers and think good thoughts for them. Even if there can't be a cure, I hope they do everything they can to keep him pain free.
Have a great day!!
Tia
Good morning sweetiepie!!!! I KNOW the sandal thing .... I needed a pair of 'tall' shoes this morning to keep the cuffs from dragging on the ground, so I pulled out my open toe/sling back wedges. My feet are still warming up, but I know I'll be fine on the way home. I am so oblivious in the morning until I open the front door to walk out that I had NO clue about the fog until I was on my way. What a shocker!
I love holiday decorations and would love to be one who decorates for every occasion, but alas, it's not going to happen I fear! Maybe I'll be able to get some of those little yard flags to hang on the RV when we hit the road!
Let's see ... 3 things ..
1) It's Wednesday and one day closer to the weekend! Today is a busy day, meeting at 9 until ... Then lunch .. then conference call/meeting from 2 until ...... I'll be spending an minimum of time at my desk today for sure.
2) Friends who understand (and you know who you are !!!!)
3) Health and happiness! For the most part I am healthy and I am happy with who and what I am. I have a good job (that I enjoy most days) that provides economic stability, I know I have my faults, but I recognize and admit to them too.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Mo
Comparison is the thief of joy!
If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished. Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago. I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits! Wherever you are in your journey ... It's ALL good!!!
((( MOIE )))
I'm so glad to hear from you - wow, like 3 times in one week??? Woo-hoo!! LOL!!! I just couldn't do closed toe shoes - so last night, I pedi'd my piggies and here we are!! Supposed to get colder tomorrow, so we'll see!! That fog was SO bad!!
So the beach was fun? I SO need the beach - can't wait!!!
But I need to see you, too, so if you can't come to NYC, we'll have to get together to go to the new Tar-jay after Easter!
BTW, Gary's putting in a bid to come to Middle River (he wouldn't have our house) - management at Dundalk has gotten so bad - tons of EEOC and harassment suits against the one female supr., and no one's doing a thing about it. They're bailing like rats from the Titanic!!!
LY,
Tia
The beach was DAMP .. but a rainy day at the beach beats a good day at work any time!!!! I have uploaded the pics from the car show, but not my parade pics yet. I'll let you know when those are done.
We are getting ready to kick into the 'busy every weekend' mode. Going away for Easter, then to CT/PA in the same weekend, then I think an open weekend (my g/f postponed her wedding :( ), the a couple of weekends of Mack-related stuff, then we are on vacation for 2 weeks .. then more Mack stuff .. and then . and then ... But a lot of the busy stuff is only one day of the weekend, so I am sure we will work it out.
Hugs & smoochies, Mo

Your #1 deserves a post all its own!!! That's amazing!!!! If you haven't, make sure you take pictures and your measurements - I didn't and I'm sorry. It'll be a good way to track your progress.
I find that I get into these food routines, too - it's normal to be that way when you find something you enjoy and that works for you!! So...a la mode away!!!
What college do you attend? CSM?
Have a beautiful day!
Hugs,
Tia

I graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland in '01. (Went back late after having my son) I know work there. It's spring break. That's why I was so swamped yesterday (and tomorrow!) Everyone left me with their animals! But, Friday is "Spring Break Day". It's actually a holiday for employees!

Okay, gotcha. I knew you played with rats, just wasn't sure if you also attended. Way cool for having a Friday off!!!!! YAY!!
