AARON UPDATE - 1:30 P.M.

Just got a text from Aaron, he was waiting on a prescription for some new meds.  The good news is, the infection hasn't progressed, the bad news is that it hasn't gotten better, either - hence the new drugs.

Since they're not keeping him, I imagine he'll be on here to tell you all this himself once he's home!

Keeping sending those good vibes to our Wuzzy!

Thanks,

Tia

Good luck finding yours Aaron!

Thanks Tia. I hope he gets well soon. He has had a tough time with his legs not to mention painful too... Speddy recovery is being sent his way...

JUST saw Aaron's update and yours.  JFC, they SHOULD keep him.  What the heck are they farting around for???  From my experience with Floyd, he needs to be in the hospital on IV meds with his legs THIS bad.

It sounds like someone in the process is being ultra conservative in favor of the insurance company without seeing that it will save more in the long long to do it right from the start (as well as better for the patient). I can't stand these kinds of games!

It really scares me that they sent him home.  The fact that it started in one leg, then spread to another and then is progressing rather than recessing isn't good.  Floyd's been dealing with cellulitis for the past 6 or 7 years and his doc has him keep antibiotics on hand at HOME because he knows when it's coming on so that he can head it off and avoid the hospital stay.  He's been hospitalized twice and  that's only because he didn't catch it in time.  Since Aaron didn't want to go to the hospital Friday night that just gave the infection time to really settle in and make it harder to fight.

I'm not a doctor by any means, but could it be the RNY that is keeping the antibiotics from doing it's job if he's taking it through pills? Maybe it's not absorbing?

Sounds scary and I hope he gets better really soon!  They should have kept him at the hospital though.

Sending good vibes his way!
