To rant is allowed here! Trust me I have done share! As for your knees.....I have knee trouble as well. Replacement surgery was recommended to me at teh age of 16 & I refused because I was active in sports! Now at 36, I regret it! I went to my ortho doc & all he wanted to do was the scope, hoping that I would get WLS & it would help resolve the issues. I had the scope doen january 27 & it was alot more to it than they had thought....... they ended up cutting a bunch of muscle, realigning my knee, and so on........ now here I am almost 3 months out, and i am still in pain. Granted it is a different pain than I had......it does feel better, it just gets weak alot quicker & gets VERY stiff when I sit.

Heather: Thanks for the encouragement. I understand i have fallen OUT of my house my knee gives out at will. I refuse to give up. Perhaps i should show my employer the comparitive cost of treating me for the knee and co morbidities on a long term basis compared to the one time cost of the wls and anticipated reduction in co morbidities ? Hmmm intersting concept, ya think???
