3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!!!

Good Morning,

Today is definitely as mixed bag of things for everyone it seems. I wish everyone a better day ahead. For those returning, welcome back!

My thoughts are prayers are with Aaron and he and his family deal with the loss of his grandfather.

Today, I am grateful for...

1 - For the wonderful Pilates trainer that Darla and I have. I know I have stated this before, but it is truly wonderful to have someone who lovingly pushes us to try things we never thought were possible. Even if we cannot do them well or at all yet, she is excited, proud and encouraging all the time. Face it, for people like us, we are learning about our new bodies. It is very difficult to accept the possibilities of what we can do or will be able to do as we continue to challenge ourselves. Some of these things are downright scary! Yet she sees our potential and nurtures that even before we see it. We are truly fortunate to have someone like that in our lives.

2 - For a shortened workweek - I am taking Friday off. So today is my hump day!

3 - For my OH family and friends.

Peace to All,

Debbie

Morning Deb!!

Hope you had a lovely Easter!!!  Glad you have a shortened work week, although knowing you, it doesn't mean you'll have any downtime.

I continue to be in awe of you and Darla regarding Pilates!!!!  Keep up the good work!!

Today I am grateful for:

1.  My parents.  I went to a funeral of a very close family friend yesterday and I am so grateful that both my parents, although aging, are doing well.

2.  Positive comments on Easter from my dad who called me skinny and my niece who asked me if I would be wearing a bikini around the pool this year - love that kid's sense of humor.

3.  Spring Break - only one more day but I am thankful for the time off.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Beth -

I'm sorry to hear about your family friend.  I'm the same way - it reinforces my appreciation of my parents.

Soak up all the positives!!!  You deserve each and every one - you worked hard for them!

Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone,

I am grateful that:

1.  Nicole is starting a Harford County Support Group.  I know I really need a group and it's so hard to drive to/from Towson at night month from near the PA line.  Thanks Nicole!  See you on the 23rd.

2.  Grateful that as much reading and lurking as I do on this forum, I cannot recall ever seeing anyone bashing anyone else.  I've grown really tired of the political and religious off topic debates-turned heated, hate-filled profane exchanges on which is supposed to be a lap band SUPPORT forum.  If you all will have me, I will start to participate more with the Maryland friends who truly like and support each other.

3.  I'm grateful for the rain, even though it's a yucky-looking day, because our flowers and plants sure need it.

Wishing everyone a great day.

Terri

Hi Terri -

Although you're not a stranger to me post-wise, we will GLADLY take you and call you one of our own!!!!  BTW, you look SO familiar to me, although for the life of me, I can't figure out why!

For the most part, we're a big, happy, dysfunctional family!!!  LOL!!!!  We've had some drama in the past, but thankfully, most of that seems to have disappeared.

I plan to come to Nic's meeting on the 23rd, so I look forward to meeting you then!

Have a great day,

Tia

Thanks Tia.  I've often thought you look familiar to me as well.  Maybe we can figure it out at Nic's meeting.  Looking forward to seeing you.
