Actually, since you're still so newly post-op, it's easy for you - if/when in doubt, call your surgeon or your nutrionist.  Seriously.  You want to make sure you're following THEIR guidelines.  Of course, too, it goes without saying that if you experience any medical issues, you should immediately call your doctor or go to the ER.  There's not been any here that I can remember, but I've seen posts on the Main Board like, "I'm vomiting blood, what should I do?"  Hello??????

Although we're all happy to help with support, etc., it's important for YOU to adhere to whatever guidelines you've been given - at least until you're much further out.

Clear as mud, right?

Actually I done with guidlines that are strict...  I have some reccomendations (hold off on raw veggies for a few months, add only one food at a time) but other than the don't eat and drink together, no soda, I am cleared for anything I FEEL like I can eat!  I was also told when in doubt, call my NUT... LOL

That said, I still am under lifting orders for two more weeks...

If I am vomiting blood, I am calling 911 or someone to get me there, I will NOT be calling my surgeon at this point...  This line makes the think of the doctors office now when you call - if this is a life threatening emergency, please hang up and call 911.

If you need those instructions, you are beyond me...  Any blood involved, don't hesitate or wait, find out why!!!

I am a wimp, I don't like pain, when in doubt, I won't hesitate to call!!

Sounds good!!  For the kids.....and those of us willing to be seen in bathing suits (I did it pre-op, so I have no qualms post-op - if you can handle it, that is!), couldja check on the rental of the pool?

Thanks,

just sent an email.  i'll let you know.

we could always hook up a sprinkler and the baby pool in the backyard for the kids...

i don't have grass back there. I have mulch.

also the basement rec room has a wii (and I have wii fit for those that want to try it) and a play station

so IF IT RAINS the kids are in the basement and the adults are upstairs (that's how we party now)

and 20 btw is an easy number if some are kids/tweens/teens

I'm up for that.  If everyone else says lets do a house, it makes planning easier.  There is a "park" in Lutherville - Meadowood - thats at the end of 83.  They have a Pavillion, playground, fields etc. that is a great place for a gathering but I know nothing about how to reserve it etc.  Tia, do they cost $$ to rent/reserve?  I know we had something planned last year at a park but that fell through - where was that to be held?
I'd love to do an outdoor picnic thingy.
Peace

I'll check, E, thanks!!  We were looking at Patapsco Valley State Park - it was hard to get a date, though.
