This has been a rough weekend... I am finding so many things I simply HATE to put in my mouth now...  Tuna has now been removed from my list of foods I thought would be good after WLS.  Protein shakes are gone for now, I hope to someday be able to use them as a supplement, but for now they are making me gag.  I am not wanting anything sweet :(  I made chocolate mousse for dessert tonight, and I started to lick my finger after putting it in the pan, and I literally gagged.

Not sure if this is good or bad...

I did however find sugar free apple drink from walmart finally tonight!!!! Drinking it now!  *grins* I didn't even wait to get all the way out of the walmart parking lot before I poured one in a bottle of water!  Liking this, and crystal light fruit punch, as well as crystal light tea.  Also doing too much healthy choice soups, I know they are high in sodium, etc. but they are also good on protein and I am liking them...  Hoping malabsorbtion works on sodium :(  I did also have steamed brocolli and grilled chicken at outback on Friday, and although I brought home most of the kids meal, it went well!!

Also liking crystal light popsicles... With being over 90 degrees today, they are being eaten for fluids!!  Peach tea is my favorite, although I liked the raspberry lemonade and raspberry ice as well!

Cravings...
Carrot sticks and raw veggies!  I started selling wildtree (think tupperware but all natural food products) and now I SOOO want to mix one of their dips up using greek yogurt - but what do I dip in it??? Raw veggies and potato chips don't seem to be on my good for me things yet...  Ugh!

Who would have thought.... I would rather have a carrot to dip than a potato chip - and I am still to afraid of it!  Beef jerkey is also on me "want" list but too chicken to try so far!

Hope everyone is out enjoying the sun!!

I agree that beginning is sometimes frustrating and confusing. Some things you find a challenge now, may be better later. I had an episode with tuna early on and stayed away from it for a long time. Now it is one of my staples.

there is no way i'd do a raw carrot a month out... it would scare me to death.

Hasn't stopped me from wanting one though... I guess it could be much worse, I could be craving chocolate, or something even more horrible!

LOL

Weekends are worse for me because it breaks my whole routine... However I don't want to work 7 days a week, so I need to get into a weekend schedule!  LOL

I haven't tried the CL Green Mango Tea or the Orange... I need to get more variety, I keep buying the same ones!  *grins*

Did you try the apple yet?

You can visit my wildtree website at www.angie17408.mywildtree.com and/or if you PM me your address I will send you a catalog and a sample... :)

Oh Angie...been there, done that.  I craved salad from very early out  but then when I was allowed to eat I was afraid of it.  I think I waited until I was 3 1/2 to 4 months out.  It is a struggle to find things that we can tolerate or even want to, especially in the beginning.  Trust us when we say that it does get better.  Just keep thinking "this too shall pass"!

I am going to call my NUT today - right after I hit send on this message!  I need to know when she thinks I should try it.  I have "guides" up to 6 weeks, but no idea what is next after next week!

This too shall pass - as will the weight *Grins*

I craved salad and raw veggies so bad!  I was cleared to eat them at 6 weeks.
