Oh Julie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friend. Although this is not the outcome anyone expected, the decision to have the surgery was ultimately hers. I agree too, that she heard you when you spoke to her. Don't look back with regret. Instead feel good that you were and will continue to be a good friend to her.

Keep strong against the temptation. You did great yesterday flying past he dough nuts. Half the battle is not having it available in the house in the first place.

Sending you deep sympathy and hugs!

I know she heard you talking to her -  she has gone to a much better place.

Good job on not buying the doughnuts!!!  I know this will be hard for you but try
and be assured God has taken her home.

Take care

Julie, losing a friend ranks at the top of the suckiest things to happen. I am sure you have lots and lots of good memories of her to get you past temptation. Even if you did break downa nd have ONE doughnut, I am sure you would understand. But, only 1, young lady.

Thanks so much Heather. I am just in a state of shock. I am glad she is at peace I don't think she would have wanted to be on a ventilator and tubes everywhere. Thanks for your kind words and support...

I am so sorry for your loss, Julie.  Our thoughts are with you.

I've had a crappy day today!  My house and car both broke this morning!  I own a 50+ year old house.  My grandfather built it and it has always been in my family.  Last night i went to use the microwave and it stopped working.  I thought I needed a new microwave.  NO biggie!  It's old and a hand-me down.  Then this morning at 4:45, I found out my water cooler wasn't working either.  My pouch hates room temperature water, but I needed water for my workout.  Every sip hurt!    When I got home, My hubby was trying to find the breaker that was popped.  NO luck!  It turns out that we broke a breaker.  My dad will come fix it this weekend.  We had to move things around because I can't live without my water cooler or microwave.  I need tha****er cooler for my cold water and hot tea.  I walked down the street to the convenience store and paid a $1 for water.  I brought my own tea and sweetener!

I get in my car to go to work  (a little late at this point.)  When I start it, it's making this horrible noise.  It sounded like someone was in my engine playing with a wet plunger.  It was so bad, I drove straight to the Ford dealership.  After taking hubby to work, I decided it wasn't the day to go to work!

I'm grateful for:

1.  My dad being able to fix things!

2.  Extended warranties!  My car will be fixed for my $100 deductible!  Yay!  Boo to having to be without my car for several days.  It will take a while to fix it.  I have to drive hubbies car and he doesn't have AC in it anymore!

3.  Lots of leave at work...  A day that makes me want to go hide in my bed means I can do that!  LOL

Oh, jeez, Jenn, when it rains, it pours!!!!

For about the first year post-op, I could NOT drink cold water - ALWAYS had to be room temp!!  Strange how our pouches are!!

I'm glad you can get everything fixed, though.  Imagine if your Dad WASN'T handy (mine isn't), and you DIDN'T have warranty!  YIKES!!

Since you're home and I'm at work, I order you to go outside and enjoy the day!

Hugs,

Tia
