A moment to shine!!!

Please indulge me!!  I was at my brother's house today when K walked in, looking dejected, and handed me a letter.

The letter said:

CONGRATULATIONS NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS

O M G!!!!  SHE WAS ACCEPTED!!!!!!!! 

I am SO proud of my girl!!!  She's done an amazing job in school and this is just the icing on the cake for her!!!  She is equally proud of herself, as well she should be.

Induction is next Monday, so as soon as I can, I'll post pics!!!!

Thanks, Ness!!!! And of course, the invitation says, "This is a formal event, so wear your Sunday best!"  UGH!!  This child HAS no Sunday best, which means I know what I'll be doing this week!!!  And she's REALLY hard to fit!!! 

Lesser battles have been fought than Tia v. K's Clothing!!

oh wow... I've had good success at Kohl's with girl child this spring...

Thanks, honey!  I AM, but I think she views it as the opportunity to get a present from me, too!!! LOL!!

Well, since she doesn't have Sunday Best and needs it, that can be her present!  Yes?  Kills two birds with one bill...

She's no dummy and she's her aunt's girl - she'll wrangle special accessories out of me, too!!!!

I am NOT looking forward to shopping with her!!!  It took me almost 13 years to get her into a pair of jean shorts!!
