beach getaway

Tia....I was thinking that maybe we could each put $20 into a kitty and use that for stuff we need. That way we don't need to collect from everyone if we go to the store. We will probably need stuff like milk, bacon, eggs, yogurt, stuff for a cookout for a meal...you know, whatever. If there is any left over I will put it toward the electric bill. Do not buy us a gift certificate or anything. It is not necessary.

I have a cd player and a dvd player so bring music and movies if you want. I want to see Revolutionary Road with Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. It comes out on dvd today. I will hold off on renting it until we go away. So, if you have not already seen that one then don't rent it. It would be good to have a movie we could watch that nobody has seen before.

These are just suggestions, not rules so anyone can make them...ok?

Yes, Mom, whatever you say!!!  LOL!!!  And I KNOW it's not necessary, but.......!

My brother probably has every DVD known to man, so if there's anything special anyone wants to see, let me know.

I wish I could make it that weekend... June is a bad month for me however... Can we say my life is in chaos??? 

Kathy isn't ignoring anyone, lol. I worked 2 shifts at 3am this week, and I've been working 7 days a week, thanks to being too big of a wuss to say no at my part-time job that just fired 2 people...

I  have lots of great board games, including my personal favs Cranium and Tribond as well as a few versions of Trivial Pursuit. I am borrowing Wii Carnival Games, since I heard it's a lot of fun. I'll probably still have that, since I'm bad at returning things I borrow, lol.

I have the Twilight deluxe edition, if anyone hasn't seen it yet. That is my new obsession, now that I've finished the books. I also have all the Harry Potters, and several other DVDs I can bring.

I prefer to cook in when doing things like this, and don't mind doing the actual cooking since I don't do much of it for myself. I have a large birth family, and when we did our family reunion, we just planned that a few of us chose what the meal was for a certain day, and were responsible for the cost of that, so that each of us contributed the same per person, and had input at least their one time.  If we make a list of the staples everyone needs ahead of time, we can all get a few things at our usual stores. I'm a member of Sams club, and I'm sure some others are members of at least one of the warehouse clubs, so we can get things like water.

Well, I really want to meet everyone, and Lord knows I heart the beach, but as you all are getting together on the 26th, I will just be beginning my journey on the Losers Side.....my surgery is on that day!
But I will gladly miss this get together! So please have fun & be safe......Tia, have a glass of wine for me & a couple crabs!
Maybe soon, I will get to meet you all!
