No support

Gosh, I find myself to be the only one that has NO support from anyone! My husband is dead set against it, says he's not attracted to skinny women, I have no friends here where I live and my only family moved to Iowa which was only my dad. Whats a person to do with who has no one to get support or even help from. I have 4 kids, so its gonna be interesting for me. Any idea's out there????

HI Michelle, My name is Vickie and I live in California. I am really sorry to hear that you have no support. I would love to be your support. You need to do what is right for you. It is your health and you needed to be healthy for your children. Sometimes men are so stupid. Maybe your husband is afraid if you loose weight and look great some other guys might look at you. I will write you, calll you, or whatever you need be to do. Please stay strong, you will not regret it, I promise. I am 3 weeks post-op and already down 25 pounds. Hi Michelle: My name is Lea and I live in Maine and am going through the process of getting a surgery date to have the Roux en y procedure. I know that it is very difficult when you have people in your life that feel your decision to have this surgery is not right and they don't support you. I have very little support locally to me. The important thing to remember is you are doing this for yourself. So that you will be healthy for many years from now. Your husband will eventually support you once he realizes how much better you feel and how much more you can do with him and the kids. I know that I am not close to you but I can be someone to talk to when you need a shoulder to lean on. I also have children so it is gonna be tough for me also but maybe we can help eachother get through this and get healthy. Lea
