MY CHALLANGE TO YOU...
OK you all I have a serious question from all of you... I mean last night before bed I took out a piece of paper and started looking at my food habits.....My surgerversery was NOV 1 and its been 3 years....Honestly I havent put on alot of weight , about 30 but have lost 13 of that, I wanted to write down what I think am doing wrong.... not exactly a daily logg but a look at what I need to do weekly to better my self..... I am going to put off my tummy tuck right now for many reasons I want to loose 50 more lbs. I need that so some of the things I came up with are as follows.
1.) I NEED TO EAT BREAKFAST...... by the time lunch gets here I am starving.... i need to stop that.
2.) I NEED EXERSIZE....I start programs and stop them after a few weeks... lets face I feel awsome then get ****y.....
3.) I NEED TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES IN FOOD...... lets face it a dozen cheesy tots or the waffle house is better than carrots and me cooking a healthy chicken breast.
4.) I NEED TO START SORTING MY STRESS... I worry about everything making me hungry....Most people choose food to supress there stress.
5.) NEED TO STOP EATING AFTER 7 OCLOCK PERIOD.....I AM MUNCHING TILL 10....
6.) NEED TO GET AWAY FROM NOT PAYING ATTENTION WHILE EATING..I am bad a****ching tv while eating..
7.) I NEED VITAMINS...I have to admit one thing I havent taken more than 2 dozen vitamins in the last 3 years....
8.) I NEED WATER.... i feel so much better when I drink my water...
9.) i NEED TO SIT DOWN EVERY NIGHT AND PLAN FOR TOMORROW ...reflct on what I did bad and concentrate on the next day..
10.) I NEED TO WEIGH ONCE A WEEK....I hate the scale 2 years ago I loved it today I hate it. I need to make it my friend.
11.) I NEED TO RESPECT MYSELF.... i NEED TO BE KIND TO MY BODY ,,I HAVE THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.....ITS ALL I HAVE... I CAN LLOSE EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE IT WILL SUPPORT ME AND BE ALL THAT I HAVE LEFT....
SO MAYBE ALL OF YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME WHETHER YOU ARE 2 DAYS OUT OR 10 YEARS OUT.... WHAT CAN YOU DO TO TAKE CONTROL.........
I am one of the those only 7 months out. The biggest challenge for me is get in my 6 meals a day. I try to at least get 5 meals in now. Right now it is easy for me because I am still never hungry but I know that at sometime that may change. I know that I need to follow a schedule to stay on task with my eating and drinking water. I did not get this surgery to blow it later. I need to workout everyday, stop skipping days when I feel tired because I feel so much better when I do workout, which I never thought I would say!!
Good post. I've been a bit stalled the last several weeks...up and down the same two pounds. Grrrr. I've found myself getting stuck pretty often too. I think that has to do with eating way too fast. I could feel myself tightening up at breakfast this morning. I had to put the fork down and let it subside, which is a hard thing to do when you're really hungry.
I think I snack too late as well. And I've got to get exercise in more than twice a week. I've not been logging my meals on Fitday, which I think will help me see if I'm really eating more than I should. My one year surgiversary is less than two months away, hard to believe!
Yah know... I could totally put my name on the list you made because I to do totally the same things. Why do you suppose we do this to our selves. We take care of others but neglect to take care of ourselves. Is it because we feel we are truely not worth it?
I am not sure but yeah I KNOW I need to start doing ALL these things again but first I am going to work on getting my head in the right place (this could take me awhile
) but none the less it needs to be done.
So with that being said... WE ALL CAN DO THIS!! Lets go for it!!!
