I love you stinkin, jock totin, crotch scratchin, mud trackin, ear bitin, chick chasin, GUYS! This is a sample of a post from a support group that I have been a member of ever since my surgery. I really like the members cuz they are all from around my local area, but I cannot stand the PC BS that always seem to accompany a general post board. It is really refreshing to read the wise DUDE-TYPE no BS counsel from the men's board here at OH. Anyway here's the recent post from a very sweet and dedicated board moderator. I don't wish to trash talk her just because I am unable to actually BE sweet and loving when I am tempted to truthfully respond to a feeeeelings post. Don't hate me just because I'm handicapped in the sensitivity area. "This is a gentle reminder that we are all in different points of post op. Please remember that we are all in this together and that when answering questions and making comments that we do so in a loving, understanding way. Remember to post with the golden rule in mind...if you were struggling, how would you best receive information? Would you want to be repremanded? Or have constructive support. Please read your posts before you hit send and think about how the other person or persons struggling with that question will react. There is always a way to say something in a kind an loving way." I want to thank you guys for all the times you laugh at stupid questions, poke fun at Viagra issues, offer to meet someone at the flagpole for being stupid, and most of all... For encouraging fellow chubbo's and ex-chubbo's to shut-up and follow the rules, and you'll lose the lard. Here's to the Locker Room! Losers All! Tman

Good Sir, I do believe the appropriate response would be "My, a bit of ******** would be quite nice".

I guess the proper response would be "Well, not to speak as to someone else's experience, but my feelings are, in this situation only, and only in this narrow set of cir****tances...Please KMA"

Well i find if you post on the main board you need many rainbows and kitten pics in your profile. It's always an "Oprah" moment on the main board.

I'm the odd man out here. I do think of how my remarks may affect whomever reads my posts. Although I do use the occasional swear word offline, I do think this should be a support site and not a garbage site. There is a lot of good info given here but I wonder how many decent men don't post because they are offended by the language here. You don't have to live in the gutter to be a man. I do like coming to the men's board because I don't have to put up with reading about feminine problems. I also remember when we first started this forum and women kept butting their heads in and wondered why there wasn't a women's forum. We explained that the Main Message Board, while open to all, was dominated by women. We wanted to be left alone to discuss surgery and life among like minded men in a supportive manner. Also, all that mattered at that time was the desire to deal with WLS as a man. We didn't exclude gay men from our group. I don't say that we overtly do so now, but we seem to have the testosterone on overdrive a lot. By the way, I am heterosexual and have been married for almost 32 years. You may drive older men away by your fowl language. Many of you are in your 20's and 30's. Would you fathers be willing to be on this site if they needed our support. I am childless, but I am old enough to have children in their late 20's.
