Any ideas to my diet? Yogurt, small curd low fat cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, and cream soup with skim milk is getting old. I b 3 weeks out from my lap rny.  Also looking for suggestions to fight the boredoom and cabin fever. My planter faciitis has severly limited my mobility. No walks!  Tony J.

Same here, Love refried beans. I will make a pot of beans. When I am ready for a meal, I put some in my magic bullet, then throw it in the skillet to warm. top with some low fat cheddar. Good to go :)

In addition to what you are eating at 3 weeks, I was on mashed potatoes with a small amount of "I can't believe its not butter", sweet potatoes or yams mashed with the butter substitute again and I used sugar twin brown sugar substitute with them too.  If you are aloowed canned fruit try adding that to the cottage cheese for a change.  Peaches and pineapple work well. I had a mobility problem following my surgery.  The PT gave me upper body exercises to do with bands and 1 - 5 lbs weights.  The point it to exercise.  What that exercise is is secondary. Rich

I still recommend protein shakes.  Unfortunately for me, I couldn't eat whey products following my first RNY so I had to have Soy based protein shakes.  The taste would have been nasty had I not added DaVinciGourmet Sugar free and fat free syrups.

I agree about the movies. Blockbuster has a better deal though. I pay 17 per month and get up to 3 at a time, when I'm done I take them to the store and they give me three free movies while I wait on 3 more to be sent to me. Trust me, I'm never without a movie to watch. I wish I had this in the beginning.  Ronnie

Tony, Check out the post about the online WLS cookbook that Hans posted this afternoon.  It looks interesting.
