Yes, you read right. I finally landed a job. It only took 8 months after graduating from college for it to happen. I start on Monday. It's an office job M-F 8-5. I can finally hold my head up high.

Now my only complaint is that I wish I made more money. Here we go again :-)  Thanks for putting up with my whining! Ronnie

So Ronnie, What did you get? You’re in Colorado now, yes? Is the job what you were hoping for? Or a stepping stone to bigger brighter things? Room to advance in the company and such? Glad to hear you got hired. Lucky for them to have you! Best Wishes- Dx

Yes, I live north of the Denver area now. The job is completely NOT what I was hoping for/went to school for. It's a temp to hire position with management possibilities. So it's a stepping stone job.

Joe,  No, I'm never content. I'm always thinking of ways to improve my situation. I worked my previous job for 8 years, and improved all I thought I could. That's when I decided to go back and get a degree, ended up getting two. I have little doubt that I will be successful at whatever I do, it's just getting my foot in the door somewhere is the problem. I'll know shortly whether the job will workout or not. I hope it will.  Ron

Hey, That's what I've been waiting to hear! Great news. More details would be nice. Is it in media or safety, or something equally as glamorous? How'd you land it? A lot of jobs in the area? Details man, details. Congrats on being an official working stiff again. DD

Dave, It's neither media or safety, it's shoes. Yea, I had the same reaction when told about the job. I landed it through a head hunter. I didn't want to use one, but needed to get working fast. The job is a data analyst with Crocs Shoes, they have a corporate office here.

Almost any job is better than no job. Although I haven't personally had to look for a job in over 28 years (self-employed) I have done a significant amount of hiring (and firing) over the years and in my experience it seems that it is always much easier to find a better job when you already have one. Of course when you already have a job it also allows you to be more discriminating as far as choosing a new one. So congrats on the new job and hopefully it will be something that works out and you can enjoy
