day 3 Post-op

Well, guys, its now day 3 of post op lap band and im feeling pretty good. Had it "installed" on friday, 9/14. Sat and Sun was real rough. I didnt think I was going to be happy with this, but all of your advise and encourgement made it a bit more tolerable. For that I say thank you all.  I woke up today and felt great. I took my first full shower and went out for a drive. I also began moving from soft liquids to harder liquids, such as Slim fast low carb. My post op visit is this thurs and 2 weeks from the surgery date I should be on solid foods. Once most of the gas left me, I came around. Im returning to work tomorrow and since I drive a tractor trailer, my company (USPS) is letting me dispatch this week in the office to ease back into this. So I will be riding the chair all week..lol.

take it easy driving that chair!  Make sure you get the liquids in and try to hit some high protein liquids to keep you full.

Keep it Up!  I am one week out.  The first few days are rough, but the liquid hydrocodone sure helped a bunch.  It is amazing how good cream soups are after 2 weeks of clear liquids.   I see my doc on Tuesday for a check up.  I feel good so I am thinking good things!!

3 weeks out here, I and felt like a million bucks at about 1 week but I found I ran out of gas  in the afternoons but no more pain. Good luck!
