Drinking soda...
I know they they tell you not to drink soda (known as "pop") after having the surgery done because of the carbonation. Before I had my operation they put me on a liquid diet and I used to make a sort of "Rootbeer" float. I would take one of the chocolate packets, 1 can of rootbeer and crushed ice and blend them all together and drink it. Yesterday I took 2 scoops of chocolate whey and did the same thing and it came out great. The crushed ice took away all the carbonation and it went down smooooooth.....the reason I did it that way is because the doctor told me I was eating to much sugar. I used to put 1% milk in my cereal and in a whey milk shake. I guess to make a long question short. Do you guy's think that's ok or should I stop drinking my protein that way?

Hey Dave...
Well it sound creative...for me...note for me...soda hurts...the bubbles get trapped inside me an the pain is on....but blening it will get rid of most of the bubbles....so, see if you feel bloated...or start passing more gas...
everyone is different..but it is creative to get rid of the milk

The Blender would negate any problems with Carbonation. If you like it, and it gets in your protein With less calories? GO For it! (I would Gak at the chocolate/root-beer combo. Have you tried it with root-beer and vanilla? That would taste more like a Rootbeer float, I’d think.) Best Wishes- Dx

Paul....the best way to make sure I get all my protein in is to drink it that way. My doctor told me to lay off the milk and milk products is because of the sugar content. I have "never" been a big soda drinker anyway. I was lucky to have one a week before my surgery. The ice and the blender take all the carbonation out of it. I usually have 1 each day and I have never had a problem. If there was a better way to do it without all the sugar I would try it. One pound of chocolate whey ($11.00) will usually last me almost 2 weeks. Buying other protein drinks are way to expensive.

3:30 p.m. on a Monday holiday in Japan and I'm at home preparing lessons...
Diet coke tastes great, I would keep drinking it, but I'm trying to limit my chemical intake. Ask Dx, I won't even eat Ostrim sausages for more than a couple weeks a year. Gosh knows what's in the pulverized chicken salad I eat multiple times a day.
I digress (in general)...

...I use a long ice tea spoon to eat it.
