I know when my new birthday is!

Well, finally got the call today!  I report for Pre-Admission Testing on  Nov 20, with surgery 1 week later on Tues Nov 27! The nurse said since I am having open RNY, instead of Laproscopic, I should only have to do liquids about 4 days...so, I get to have Thanksgiving with the family! Thanks for all your support and ideas guys.  I have a feeling I'm going to be in here a LOT more.. LOL! Been saving all those posts about what to take to the hospital, what to eat, what NOT to eat etc.. (Thanks to DX for a lot of those .) So, now the butterflies begin for real!  I am so happy I feel like jumping, yet have this lil 'wiggly' feelin in my stomach Definately doing the happy dance tho!..   Yeah, I know... that ain't right...... LOL Dale

Thanks DX... I have copied a lot of your posts, and I'm sure I'll be asking more.  My wifes big thing is wondering what the heck to feed me!  I guess the Barix clinics gives ya a book of recipes and stuff tho, and my dietician gave me some good ideas also. The liquid diet is what will mess me up.   I'm thinking.. tomato soup with protein powder, pureed chili, that kind of stuff.  I'm big on spice, not sweet.. so hopefully that will work in my favor. Way to go, Dale. Your date will be here before you know it and the next thing you know you will be dropping weight like crazy. Remember, there's a locker room full of losers waiting for you to walk through the doors and join us on the bench.  Hang in there buddy.

Thanks guys!  I'm looking forward to joining you losers on the bench!  Lemme tell ya, the reality is setting in every day. I'm really having to watch that 'last meal syndrome', other than that, it's just getting concentrating on getting the house winterized, and all the last minute stuff done, making sure bills are paid ahead, eetc. Thanks, Dale
