If you had the RNY i'd recommend limiting them...sunflower seeds have lots of fat. Scott

I have been eating sunflower seed for some time now, and until a few week ago I didn’t have any problems. Then I did a very dumb thing, instead of just eating the shelled seeds I got a bag of seeds still in the shell and I guess I swallowed some of the hulls and they got stuck. I was in terrible pain for 3 days until they worked there way through. I do limit the amount I eat, like Scott said they are high in fat and calories. I too eat quite a few seeds. I go through a med. size bag in about a week. I'm talking about the kind in the shell. An entire bag can't have much more than a cup of seeds in it, can it? I like them because I'm a nervous eater and they give something to chew on. I know there is fat in them but really are they that counter-productive to what we're all trying to do? I'm also about 10 months out.
