First Question
Are you talking about infections in the folds of your skin? This is a very common problem for the obese. Skin folds trap moisture and have lots of dead skin cells, and make an ideal breeding ground for microbes. Personally, I've found that the use of anti-bacterial soap actually makes it worse, because it disrupts the normal balance of microbes in favor of yeasts like Candida.
The best solution I've found personally is to make sure to shower daily, wash with a cloth in between, and to use medicated body powders which contain zinc oxide, menthol, and eucalyptol. Personally, I often wash with hydrogen peroxide -- this really kills the microbes, and is non-irritating. You could also use some of the gentler anti-acne washes to do the same thing.
If you do have an outbreak, switch for about a week from the basic body powder to an anti-fungal powder (athlete's foot and jock itch type product from the drugstore) -- this will cure it.
Gold bond and Lotrimin both make a medicated powser you can use in the folds of your skin, but if it were me, I'd go to your doctor PCP or derm..and have them r write you a prescription...because this will be documentation for plastics at a later time.
I have had skin issues since losing weight...not because I can't reach the area, but because the skin overlaps.

Actually, I have been having boils between my legs forever ab=nd yes the whole time been super morbidly obese, when I started having this latest issue with what I am thinking is a yeast infection, I went and got in front of mirror, which I must admit I try to avoid at all costs. But when looking in the mirror there is alot of discoloration down below will that change after WLS or can I begin the change before WLS.
