I have a question about glutamine. What I take now is L-glutamine is there a difference between glutamine and L-glutamine. Also how much is best to take per day?

Allegedly when you take glutamine since is chained to other amino acids your body doesn't readily use it as quickly or efficiently as the 'free-form' L-glutamine which has already been separated from the other amino acids.

I've taken both in the past.   I've got pretty much zero gains or increased muscle recovery after taking them.   My muscles were sore before I took them and my muscles were just as sore after taking them.

The ONLY supplements that I've ever had any positive reactions from were micronized creatine and NO2 supplements.  I quit taking both because they were causing me to retain WAY too much water.

Oh, and ephedra pills.  I still take those and they give me a good kick in the ass energy boost in the morning.   Ephedra isn't for everyone and it's gotten plenty of bad press but I've taken it for awhile pre and post-op and it does the trick for me.

i got the exact same results as kyp. it didn't work for me either. i tried it for a month and no results. it wasn't the l type though. like him i try to keep the supps to a minimum otherwise you'll go broke. unlike him i use creatin and it works big time for me. i don't tell guys who are just starting to lift to use it though. try that stuff way down the line. otherwise you won't know if it works. you can get more weight or more reps but how will you know if you don't have routine you've been doing for months? also, you will gain up to 7 pounds with creatine......carbonblob
