17 Mile Fart Today....
Last Saturday we did 7.5 miles in 1 hour 50 minutes and today we hiked 17 miles in 5 hours over moderate to strenuous trails. That is a new time and distance record for me. This is amazing since 19 months ago I could barely walk to my truck at the end of the workday. WLS has been very very good to me.....

There are a lot of success stories here in the locker room. Work the plan from your doctor and as soon as your up to it, get out and start walking. I started doing a block, then two blocks which turned into miles and I an still building a little at a time. Then after a few month**** the gym and start lifting if you can, the more muscle you can retain on the way down the better. Don't forget your vits, water and dailiy protien along the way. You also have to change your thinking, attitude and old routine from the old MO ways into the new guy that you want to be down the road. Remember that WLS will help but it is not a cure, it's just a tool to help you on the road to the rest of your new life.
