I take Ducolate Sodium (15 ml) twice a day and a Bylcolate (sic) sup each morning and always have a smile on my face each day. AND I'm on NPO (nothing by mouth just Boost and pain meds) for several months. Good luck BobM.
In addition to the above eat a big bowl of oatmeal and raisons every day. And remember to take those stool softners. Try to get off the laxatives as soon as possible. I feel your pain brother, I've been having the same problems for a couple of months nows, but it is getting better if I follow my own advice.

Hey Matt....
Man let me tell you...I hate that feeling, and my world will grind to a halt, if things get sluggish...
You can fiddle with the Miralax....cutting down on that powder, till you find the sweet spot...
I deal with some older people and this is a problem...I never understood it till it happened to me...
I have to say, sometimes it's in the routine....TMI...I get up about 45 mins early every day...drink 2 big cups of coffee, on an empty stomach...and bam...i'm done for the day...
find a routine that works for you...

I eat All Bran every morning for breakfast. Don't like it, but as long as I mix it with yogurt and eat it every morning I stay regular. Sometimes I just can't stomach it anymore, so I'll have eggs for a couple of days as a break and take Milk of Mag at night. The MOM works great for me - gentle and not a blow-out (oops, tmi).
