so sick...what can I take?

Hey fellas. So it happened, first time since surgery that I have a nasty cold.  It seems that all cough medicines and whatnot are just loaded with sugar in various forms.  Any ideas on how I can beat the bug?  What have yall used before. thanks!

Look for Diabetic Tussin or Wal-Mart has an Equate version, both are sugar free and work well. Hope you get to feeling better soon!!!  Coughing with staples and drains is not fun at all.

Yeah, if you look around, there's a few different sugar free brands of cold medicine / cough syrup. I'm lucky, I haven't had a cold at all that I remember since I had my RNY in July '06. No .. I have things like Bacterial Meningitis.   But not colds.

I use Tylenol cold/headache and it works great.

Second the Tylenol cold/Headache. It has done wonders for me. Ken

Whatever you do stay away from NyQuil!!!!  It really hurts.
