Howdy, from the Ozarks of Missouri or Misery or Mizzou, whatever... IN the beginning I was 388, with bad joints, knees giving out, couldn't walk a block without sucking wind, pulled a oxygen trailer around, slept with a Bipap, and had raging diabetes 2 with out of focus eye vision a lot.  Then came the simple surgery, laproscopic then all hell broke loose.... Now, after many surgeries, 2 1/2 months in one icu or the other (the burn unit was the best, they had 32" plasma flat screen TVs), and 4 mos. of getting nourishment from a tube and a tulip sticking out of me of intestines, I am at 218.  Can walk miles without getting winded, back kinda hurts but not winded, eyes are still screwed but don't want to spend any money until after this next surgery, you know..., can sleep flat on my back with no machine with an o2 rating of 97-99%, no more o2 trailer, better health now than before, but damn......more than you wanted to know...just raving.

Hi Guys, Well I am 4 pounds from my goal weight and only 10 months out from surgery! Highest: 306
Surgery: 291
Last Week: 212
Today: 209 So far I am down 97 pounds since my journey started.  However, the thing that blows me away is how my waist size has changed.  I started in a tight 44 waist because I refused to go to a 46 waist pants and a 18 1/2 inch neck on the shirt.  Now I am down to a comfortable fitting 34 waist pant and a 17 inch neck shirt.   Hope all of you guys are having the success you seek through your journey. Bill

Boner, My exercise routine is from the Bill Phillips' Body for Life.  I did Body for Life back in 2000-2001 and lost 50 pounds and got into pretty good shape until I herniated two disc in my lower back doing squats.  Basically what I do is upper body on Monday and Thursday with 20 - 30 minutes of cardio.  My upper body routine consist of chest, shoulders, back, triceps an biceps.  The cardio is either the oliptacle or treadmill.  I am starting to run outside with the weather getting warmer.  Then on Tuesday and Friday I do 20 - 30 minutes of cardio followed by my lower body routine.  Cardio as mentioned earlier and lower body consist of quads, hamstrings and calves.  Wednesday is strickly cardio, usually 30 - 40 minutes on the treadmill or a 5k run.  I have ran a couple of Saturdays when the weather was above 45 degrees here in Kansas City, MO. I started working out six weeks after surgery with the cardio and then the weights at eight weeks post op.  I have been very consistent week after week since.  It has become my new addiction. Bill
