Great news. You don't realize how important your heart is until it quits working.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Glad to hear it Al.  Congrads on continuing good news.  You have made some great strides anad it has taken alot of effort and faith.  I am sure the Lord is helping you along because of yuor desires and efforts.  We have to just be gratefule and take things in stride because there are those other times when we have to stumble a bit to see how much we are willing to learn and endure and see if we can remember the blessings and good times during the harder times.  Just remember to tell Him thank you and be available when he gives us the opportunity and/or means to help others when they are down.   You are a good man and your success has and contiues to be an inspiration to me and many others of us.

Alan.....First I want to say how very, very happy I am for you. I can say for a fact I've been where you "were". A couple of years ago I had Congestive Heart Failure while I was in the process of getting all my material ready for WLS. Well that put a quick halt to that idea. My ejection fraction was 8% to 12% at that time and the prognosis wasn't good. Well they put me on med's to try and help me out which it did. It brought my EF up to 30% or a little below. Which I thought was great. Anyway my heart doctor told me I could try and get WLS so I found a great doctor and he performed the operation. Well to make a long story short. I've lost some weight and I'm going to a gym 3 times a week and working out now. I haven't felt this good in over 20 years. I went to my "new" heart doctor a couple of weeks ago and they did a new "muga" test on me and my EF was up to 48% persent which almost blew me off the table. He said he thought that my CHF was caused by high blood preasure that I have had for many years now. But I take med's for that. My goal is to prove eveyone wrong especially myself that I can get my EF to 50% or higher (they say it can't be done). Lord willin' and the creek don't rise I'll get there. It won't be for lack of not trying. Take care my friend and keep me updated on your progress....again congrats on a job well done. Dave
