Did you notice one gal ("gul"?) on the Main Forum posted a reply in your thread, proclaiming "this is why I'm so glad to be a lesbian!"   or some such ..   Boy I had to bite my tongue on that one big time (I think I simply posted "T.M.I.", but was SO tempted to say, "yeah, and believe me, we guys are so glad you are too!")    &:-x) 

What they need is an ignore user option.  I have seen it on other boards, you can just select someone, hit ignore and then you don't see their posts any longer. If they have a question for the guys, then they should post it on the main forum with a note that the question is for guys.  Easy enough, nuff said.

Do you mean to say that you can't provide WLS support without using swear words?  Is this how you are at work?  Is this how you conduct all of your daily business? I really don't care as long as I get support when I need it.  And, I don't want to push away any men because of offensive language.  There are men who do live full lives without swearing.  I'm not one of them.  But, I do know many men who have never used swear words and who would probably be put off by the language many of you use.   Most support groups try to attract like members.  You can go to OA, AA, GA, cancer support groups, and many others and this language would not be tolerated.  There is a reason for this:  they are trying to make the group welcome to everyone who is affected by their cause.  So, what's the big deal?  Is this a support group or just an online hangout for men who are involved with WLS?   You have been informative.  I don't question your support for me and for many other men on this forum.  But, I wonder how many men have looked at this forum and have been put off by the language used here. I don't know if Bigal2029 is going to control the language used in his group.  I don't think he has done that so far.  I hope he'll comment on that.  I continue to suggest that those of you who can't stand being on this open forum (accessible to everyone on ObesityHelp.com) now go to Bigal2029's group which is a closed forum ( only accessible to men who are admitted to the group).  I do know that Bigal2029 does not want to have his group replace this forum.  He has said that he wants them both to be available to the men of ObesityHelp.com .   I do wish there was an easy way for all men who join obesityhelp.com to be directed to the Men's Forum.  And, I wish that the powers that be would let Bigal2029 have a permanent sticky on this forum telling men how to get to his Men's locker room group. Finally, please don't slam me for expressing my honest opinions.  I don't want to be deleting dozens of e-mails as a result of this post.  AND, to the women *****ad this, PLEASE DON'T COMMENT ON IT ON THIS FORUM!!!  sjbob
