Gall Bladder Removal

I too was supposed to have my GB taken out during the RNY op...but the surgeon chose not to. He said that because my liver was so dang big, he had troubles trying to "re-arrange" items (it was a lap RNY) so he opted to not take it out. I did have - do have I guess - one large gall stone (preOp ultrasound showed this) which is why my surgeon thought the GB should come out...but as it wasn't done, I suppose that was no big deal. Since the WLS day, 18 months ago, I've not worried about it at all...I've no probs with the GB or the gall stone too...so all things are fine for me.... :-) JIm

Ahh..yes I do remember! You won the auction and I owe you that gall stone - should it pass I'd think I'd be in a LOT of pain as the tech said it's like an inch across.... But yup, if ever, Boner...it's yours... Jim

Just an update:  Surgery went OK, but I was a lot more nauseous that I remember after the RnY. Today it feels kinda like I was horse-kicked in the gut, but the drugs are taking care of most of it. I'd just as soon not be cut on for awhile...
