Hey guys, haven't been on in a while. Had my surgery on 2005. I am still chewing those Flintstone vitamins and taking B12 shots. I was wondering what vitamins others are using that are a couple years out. I have also bought those Sam's Club chewables that have same ingredients and are much cheaper but don't taste as well or hold up as well over time. My blood work has been fine although I haven't had any for about 6 months and am due. Are there better or cheaper alternatives than Flintstones.

My son loves his Flintstones vitamins!  Which reminds me.... he's almost out. I get all my vitamins at Sams.  I get the multi, plus the B12, C, D+Cal, and E tablets.  I had some blood work 2 weeks ago, and I should be getting the results on Wednesday.  I'd like to see how it pans out. BTW... Flintstones has no equal.  Don't bother looking.

Tbone Dan! Hey, glad to hear you’re doing fine. Like many I started on chewable Vits, but then moved to A more complete Multi. I take a “Fortify” (Kroger’s version of Centrum “Forte.”) It has higher levels of folic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin D, vitamin E, and additional minerals such as zinc, selenium and chromium. Also some lutien and lycopene. Kid’s vitamins are fine for most, But they are a little light in Magnesium Which helps the absorption/utilization of Calcium. And since Calcium tends to be a problem for ByPassers, I want to give it all the help I can. The ‘off-brand’ “Fortify” are also about 2/3 the cost of Centrum. I also take additional Calcium, Iron, Folic acid, B-1 and a “B-50” for energy. My B-12 is a self injection once a month. Perfect Labs for 5 years (next month) For flavor?  Wilma makes a mean vitamin! Best Wishes- Dx

I've been pretty happy since day 1 post WLS with the Centrum chewables.  I've tried the liquid Centrum as well but found that taking the liquid was too messy so I went back to the regular Centrum chewables.  Target sometimes has the big 90 count size on sale so I buy 2-3 of them.

I really like my Centrum Orange flavored chewables.

I get the store version of the centrum chewables (Walgreen's I think).

I use Up-Cal D for my Calcium supplment.

I order all my vitamins etc. from Puritan's Pride on-line  http://www.puritan.com/ They have adult chewable vitamins and a sublingual liquid B complex that works well for me.  Additionally, they carry many other viatmins and supplements.  And the costs are significantly less than in any store. Rich
