I've got a few, and they've really diminished. I don't think they ever go away. They're scars. Let's worry about those things when it's time for plastic surgery or not. You've got bigger fish to steam

Not sure, but I think mine are a little less noticeable since I have lost more weight.

As mentioned before they are pretty much scars. I have noticed that as I started dropping the weight, the big red marks I used to have are now kinda clear or just the same color as my skin but they are still there.

I used to have them around my armpits and the front of my shoulders when I was lifting. Those are long gone now. I agree with a poster above. That ought to be somewhere in the double digits in the list of things to worry about with WLS and your journey.

I got mine still, but they don't have any color to them, and kind of blend in with the wrinkles from the loose extra skin! Still wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me though. Plastics or not, I'm still much happier with my health, and even my body image too...

If you buy liquid vitamin E and apply it to the marks on a regular basis, it will help the scars heal tremendously.    Pregnant women are often given the same advice. It's kind of a pain to do, but it may help. Guy

While they are still there, they are much less visible.   Bigger problem is all the hanging skin. Rich
