Anyone know mixing software?

I'm looking for a way to string 30 minutes of music together and put a "ping" noise every minute to help me track my interval training. Any suggestions? I use a Macintosh, but could get my hands on a lesser-PC if needs be.

I use a program called "Audacity" but it's supposedly just for making ringtones for the cellular. I'm not sure what else you could do with it, but you can save file formats in mp3, WAV, and Ogg Vorbis w/e that is. You can mix different sounds in with a music file and overlay other music onto the music file etc etc. It's pretty neat, and free, that's the most attractive feature.

Thank you so much! After about an hour of fiddling around I figured out enough to string my music end on end, and put in a sine sound each minute. WOOT! I look forward to playing with this in the future. Gotta figure out how to blend, instead of chop/pasting.

And all while Warcraft was patching...great use of my time!

You're welcome. I was hoping you could use it...that damn program took me forever to find, but it's the only free one that I've found that's worth a ****

World of WarCrack? hah .. my wife loves that game - I've never been patient enough to play MMORPG.   However, TF2 and Call of Duty 4 own me right now. I'll talk to a friend of mine - he does that kind of thing with music all the time - he might have some good suggestions, though he uses a PC, not a Mac. I have something that does what your'e talking about, but it came with my Fatal1ty soundcard from Creative Labs.
