Concerning sun exposure and malabsorption
Here's what I know:
The only thing I know about sun and absorbtion of vitamins is that exposure to adequate sun helps your body create Vitamin D, which you need to have enough of to properly absorb Calcium which seems to be the most difficult for RNY'ers to get enough of because it is primarily aborbed in the part of the upper smal intestine that is bypassed. BUT - you probably have enough Vitamin D anyway, because most Calcium supplements also have Vitamin D added just to cover you in case you live in say - Seatlle....
A couple things about tubing - 1.- have fun!!! 2 - When I tube, I drink alcohol, in large quantitities, if you haven't experimented yet to see how alcohol now effects you, out in the sun on the river would not be a good place to start....3 - I never burned, but when I take my shirt off and expose "super-white" skin to the sun, I will burn, big time. so maybe where a shirt or use tons of sunscreen over and over....4 - If any young ladies decide to "show their tits" be a good boy scout and "be prepared" - bring a camera and be ready to shoot (and share with us of course!)
