Riding my Harley every opportunity I get.  Like today 98 degrees....ouch!!! Tough sitting at a red light though with the heat coming off the bike. Sonny

1. One of the good things about RNY is that I've been walking to and from work anyway. I drive a company vehicle one I get there if I need to go anywhere. So that saves me about 2 gallons a week. 2. My F250 with the V10 that made my dick get completely hard when I bought it in 1999 is not looking so shiny these days. It might get 3000 miles put on it this year. My daughter's Maxima is getting most of the road work. 3. I got a call for a job interview last week that was 600 miles round trip from where I live. If gas was $2.00 per gallon I'd have probably gone. As it was, I asked them what the salary range was gonna be over the phone right up front. When the guy told me, I just had to tell him that the chance that I'd take that salary was null and I didn't see any sense in buying $150 dollars worth of gas just to see what else they might have going on. I consider it kinda unprofessional to talk money up front, but I didn't really see that I had any choice in this case. Probably missed out on an opportunity to network a little bit, but who the hell can afford it?

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Something else for you to check into that might save you an extra chunk of money... since you're (mostly) parking your truck, give your auto insurance company a call and ask if they have any sort of "limited use" policy for vehicles less than a certain # miles per year.  Usually, this entails bringing the vehicle to the insurance agent so they can record the vehicle mileage, then back again in 6 or 12 months to record it again... if the mileage is below ___ miles, then it's a MUCH reduced rate to insure the vehicle. I had an 88 Ram that I only used on occasion to pick up stuff at the lumber yard for projects, or to bring building waste to the town disposal center... I was paying (liability only) somewhere around $600 a year.... after switching to the limited use policy, it dropped to around $150-175 a year.
