Welcome guy.  As a newby myself to the forum, you'll find these are a great bunch of guys.  I am still in the process of losing my required 10% of my weight before surgery -- a little over 1/2 way there.  Glad to have another Southerner.  I am at Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Michael

Although you will get help from all the guys on this forum, you may want to PM some of the men who  are in the same stage of dealing with WLS as you.  That way, you can have you're own little support group.  You'll also know how things are going at various stages post op.  I didn't do that but I did send out PMs to several men who started out as super morbidly obese and now have some really good e-mail friends.  Whether you want to give them any persoanl info (in time) is up to you. Also, look at posts from guys who have just had their WLS and you will have an idea of what to expect in the near future.  This Forum can be another tool for your recovery.  But, it is much more than that.  You can honestly bring up any problem you are having as a man up for discussion among us.  Heck, we seem to tackle a wide variety of problems and generally respect each other.

Welcome to the Locker Room, there are a really great group of guys here.  They will be very supportive, but if you mess up they will call you on it.  It's a tough love situation here.  I find it nice to be able to talk with guys *****ally understand what life was like before losing weight and what it is like to live life after surgery.
